Broadway World - Exclusive First Listen: “Julian”
BroadwayWorld recently shared an exclusive first listen to “Julian,” a new track from my upcoming album Bumps in the Bathroom: and other lost shows, set to release on February 27.
The album draws from a collection of songs from obscure indie musicals — including Bumps in the Bathroom, Bail Out The Musical, and Lesbian Love Octagon — each rooted in the vibrant East Village theatre scene.
This track features the incredible Jared Reinfeldt alongside a lineup of talent that includes Tony nominees Beth Malone and Emily Skinner, Ben Jackson Walker, artists from Ring of Keys, and more. Their performances bring to life themes of love, relationships, and unfiltered self-expression that are central to this project.
“Each of these works has a rich history, having premiered in the vibrant East Village scene, performed in intimate venues where artistic expression thrived beyond commercial expectations.”
Playbill Highlights “Bumps in the Bathroom: and other lost shows” Album
Playbill has featured the upcoming cast recording of Bumps in the Bathroom: and other lost shows, spotlighting performances by Emily Skinner, Beth Malone, Kimber Elayne Sprawl, and a wide roster of theatre artists from across the Broadway and indie communities.
The album gathers songs from several original musicals — including Bumps in the Bathroom, Bail Out the Musical, and Lesbian Love Octagon — works that first premiered in New York’s downtown theatre scene. The recording reimagines these pieces with full orchestration and new performances.
“Indie musicals in New York are often passionately created, scrappily produced, and then lost without a trace… Preserving this history with an orchestra is honestly surreal for us.”
The album will be available on all major streaming platforms beginning February 27.
